CBR TV @ WC12: Ralph Bakshi Celebrates 35 Years of "Wizards"
Animation legend Ralph Bakshi spent some of his WonderCon 2012 time with CBR TV where he discussed his personal purchases at the weekend's show, his own roots as a comic book and superhero fan and the fact that he was never a fan of funny animal kid's comics. At the show to promote the release of the 35th anniversary edition of "Wizards" on Blu-ray, Bakshi looked back at his career, revealing the projects he always wanted to do, what is important to him when it comes to filmmaking, his repeated ...

Junk Food Dinner Podcast: Episode #43 - Kevin, Mark & Parker
Time to get animated, weirdos. This week on Junk Food Dinner we explore the seedy, greedy, surreal animated world of artist/director Ralph Bakshi. First, we take a look at his 1973 semui-autobiographical tale Heavy Traffic. Then Bakshi focuses his lens on race relations and the black experience in America when we take a look at the controversial Coonskin from 1975. And finally two young men come of age against a backdrop of gang violence in 1950's Brooklyn in Hey Good Lookin' from 1982.

From Isreal Idonije's rendition of the classic Monday Night Football theme on the kazoo to an appropriately animated Ralph Bakshi's reactions to Jonah Weiland's unexpected revelation to the comic stylings of DC comics Co-Publisher Dan DiDio to Slipknot's Corey Taylor busting out a kazoo-ed "Inspector Gadget" theme a...

We've turned April into AIPril (did you see what we did there?) by paying tribute to American International Pictures once again with our Rebel Highway Theme Show! For those not in the know (which included us until recently), Rebel Highway was a 1994 series of 10 TV movie homages to AIP produced for Showtime by Debra Hill and the son of Samuel Z. Arkoff and directed by ten different genre directors. First up, we hit the road with Jenny Lewis, Holly Fields, Julie Bowen, and a very young Paul Rudd...

Countrockula's Theater for the Insane episode 2 - Rockula!
This was the first episode that I editited in the facilities of Minneapolis cable access studios (MTN). I barely knew how to operate the editing system and you can see that I couldn't even change the color of the fades from blue to black. The barrage edits were taken and re-edited from things I did on VHS. This episode's feature was Ralph Bakshi's film "Wizards". you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and check out all of my music, video and blogs at rockulaproductions.com
